Duct Tape Corset

Please ignore me in this picture. I had a major headache and what not. Please to focus on the wonder of the duct tape corset!

My stepmom and I started this project probably at about 8:30, and I'm posting this at 11:30. *groan*

It was a lot of fun, but a LOT of work too. Brenda had to wrap me in duct tape, two layers of it, then cut it off me once done. She was so afraid to cut me.

Next step was adding in the purple stripes, then the excess t-shirt had to be cut away and the edges reinforced with tape, and then the purple edging.

Then hell began. I had to hand place each of the grommits for the lacing openings, through, once doubled over itself, was probably about six layers of tape and cloth. >.< My hands hurt. I ended up having Dad and Brenda both go over each of them again to make sure they were seated well.

I wanted a picture to focus on the duct tape corset itself. It'll be part of my later steampunk outfit picture I'll post later.

A note to I'm willing to help you all make your own when we get to Findlay. I'd love for all of us to make one and then we go to Goth Night in them.
